Birth is unpredictable, and having a dedicated, experienced presence by your side changes the experience entirely. Our certified labor doulas provide continuous, one-on-one support — comfort measures, positioning, breathing techniques, and calm guidance — from the moment labor begins until after your baby arrives.
We work alongside your OB, midwife, or hospital team; we never replace medical care, but we do fill the gap that clinical staff can't always cover: someone who stays with you the entire time, explains what's happening in plain language, and helps you and your partner feel steady and informed. Our doulas regularly support births at Stanford Medical Center, El Camino Hospital, and UCSF, as well as home and birth-center deliveries.
Frequently Asked Questions
When do you join us during labor?
We stay in close contact from the moment early labor signs begin, and join you in person once labor is established — typically when contractions are frequent enough that you want steady support. We're on call 24/7 as your due date approaches.
Does a doula replace my OB or midwife?
No. Doulas provide continuous comfort and support and do not perform clinical tasks. We work as part of your care team alongside your OB or midwife, not in place of them.
Can you support hospital, home, and birth-center births?
Yes. Our doulas are experienced across all three settings and will tailor their support to your birth plan and location of choice.
